The course directors will stay at the course assigned to them to make sure all rulings are consistent for all divisions. For the amateur divisions the directors will make sure the boards get moved between rounds. Before the board moves scores must be totaled and board set up so when it arrives at the next course all they have to do is open it up. If there are problems with the scorecards we want to discover them at the course that they played. All of these people will be the final call on the course for rulings. Dan Cashen will not be able to be everywhere so as tournament director I am deputizing all of you to make the call. The group should make the call before we get involved but your say is final. Course Directors Duties - Be at course at least 1.5 hour before scheduled tee time
- Direct your volunteers to the tasks that need to be done
- Make sure there is water on at least every third hole
- Hang white board and clock in plain site (use white board to announce tee times lunch time and any special messages)
- Must be PDGA Member and Official
- Check all scores on cards (know the ruling for scores added wrong or written wrong: players must write numbers down they may not use dots and dashes for pars and birdies)
- Make sure boards are at your course in the AM and if you are traveling from course to course (Ams only) make sure boards get to next course
- Make sure you have the right score cards for where you are playing
- All scoreboards need to return to Host Hotel every night so players can see where they are. (Tournament will have a room at hotel for staff to chill) You may take the board home with you but not till around ?????
- All scores need to be entered into electronic data base supplied by the PDGA (this can be done between rounds and at the hotel at night or when ever just needs to be done)
- If we have trouble with players we need to communicate that info to Tournament Director and all Course Directors so we know how to handle the situation.
- All course directors should have cell numbers so we can talk.
